Here's a snap through my car's windshield:Ĭlouds over June Lake, California as Seen from a Moving Car on US Route 395, California, 2:56 P.M. We had lunch at Carl's Jr., took on fuel and headed out of Bishop at 1:55 PM. We passed Lone Pine at 12:20 PM and stopped in Bishop at 1:22 PM.

We drove north all day, passing through Olancha about Noon. Sunrise was at 6:55 AM and I arrived at 7:40 AM. If you see any blank images or "Server Error 500," warnings, hit REFRESH or RELOAD in your browser until they all come in. These weren't nerd-a-thons locked in motel rooms fiddling on computers we were outside all the time.

I made these photos on two back-to-back trips I led with Dave Wyman to California's Eastern Sierra and another trip we led for The Yosemite Conservancy in Yosemite National Park.
